T\u00e1ncosn\u0151nek k\u00e9sz\u00fclt, a Balettint\u00e9zetbe nem vett\u00e9k fel, de \u00edgy is t\u00edz \u00e9vig tanult klasszikus balettet. Zenei \u00e1ltal\u00e1nos iskol\u00e1ba j\u00e1rt, majd \u00f3ra-\u00e9kszer elad\u00f3 lett a Divatcsarnokban. 17 \u00e9vesen m\u00e1r vend\u00e9gl\u00e1t\u00f3zott, a Rangers, majd a Thomastic egy\u00fcttessel l\u00e9pett fel. 19 \u00e9ves volt, amikor Sz\u00e9csi P\u00e1l felfedezte egy balatoni b\u00e1rban. Annyira megtetszett neki Cserh\u00e1ti hangja, hogy beaj\u00e1nlotta a Magyar R\u00e1di\u00f3 k\u00f6nny\u0171zenei st\u00fadi\u00f3j\u00e1ba \u00e9s felvette h\u00e1tt\u00e9r\u00e9nekesnek saj\u00e1t m\u0171sor\u00e1ba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cserh\u00e1ti Zsuzsa az 1972-es T\u00e1ncdalfesztiv\u00e1lon v\u00e1lt orsz\u00e1gosan ismertt\u00e9, amikor a\u00a0<em>Nem volt \u0151 fest\u0151<\/em>\u00a0c\u00edm\u0171 dal\u00e1val el\u0151ad\u00f3i d\u00edjat nyert. Egym\u00e1s ut\u00e1n k\u00e9sz\u00fcltek r\u00e1di\u00f3felv\u00e9telei. Olyan sl\u00e1gerekkel h\u00f3d\u00edtotta meg a hallgat\u00f3kat, mint a\u00a0<em>Kicsi, gyere velem r\u00f3zs\u00e1t szedni<\/em>, a\u00a0<em>Boldogs\u00e1g, gyere haza<\/em>\u00a0\u00e9s az\u00a0<em>\u00c1rva fi\u00fa<\/em>. 1975-ben sz\u00fcletett meg gyermeke, ezut\u00e1n \u00e9nekelte el egyik legnagyobb sl\u00e1ger\u00e9t, az\u00a0<em>\u00c9des kisfiam<\/em>\u00a0c\u00edm\u0171 sz\u00e1mot. Az olasz dal magyar sz\u00f6veg\u00e9t eredetileg Kov\u00e1cs Katinak \u00edrta Brad\u00e1nyi Iv\u00e1n, de az \u00e9nekesn\u0151 lemondott r\u00f3la Cserh\u00e1ti jav\u00e1ra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minden m\u0171fajban otthonosan mozgott, b\u00e1rmit k\u00e9pes volt hitelesen el\u00e9nekelni, legyen az t\u00e1nczene, jazz, swing, soul vagy funky. Az\u00e9rt  ker\u00fclt a k\u00f6nny\u0171zenei \u00e9let perem\u00e9re, mert visszautas\u00edtotta Erd\u0151s P\u00e9ter, a hanglemezgy\u00e1r mindenhat\u00f3 ur\u00e1nak javaslat\u00e1t, hogy legyen a Neoton egy\u00fcttes h\u00e1tt\u00e9r\u00e9nekese.
